Our Business

ACB Ltd is a highly specialised environmental company, providing UK wide safe recycling and disposal routes across all industries, education and government departments.

We have grown to be the major player of only a handful of businesses in our field. With nearly 30 years of trading, ACB is recognised for its flexibility and skill sets. We have a number of large projects under way and are now looking to expand our project management and administrative team.

About the role

Supporting senior management, we are looking for a proactive, organised, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in an ever-changing environment. Someone who is able to work to tight deadlines, handle multiples tasks at once, whilst ensuring efficiency and a strong output is achieved.

  • You will have a Project Mangagement Qualification such as Prince 2
  • You must be adept at taking a brief, mapping out a roadmap to deliver it, coordinating resources, measuring / tracking project progress, and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
  • You will also assess any risks and opportunities, adhering to relevant regulatory policies and procedures, and resolve any issues that arise throughout a project's life cycle.
  • The ideal candidate will be an independent thinker with strong communication skills, able to work across functions internally and externally, with small as well as multinational clients including government departments

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of all company projects
  • Day to day administrative tasks supporting the directors.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Contribute to risk management strategies by identifying potential issues early and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively by prioritising workload and adhering to deadlines through excellent time management skills.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Project managemet qualifications such as Prince 2

Additionally, a proven track record of successful delivery of activity plans, demonstrating

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • key planning and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisation and time management
  • Facility management and maintenance experience, desirable

Essential Requirements

  • Prince 2 or equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • A UK citizen - no dual nationality permitted.
  • Non-smoker. ACB is a n smoking company
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK as needed, including overnight stays

Advantageous

  • Detailed understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001 standards
  • NEBOSH and / or WAMITAB
  • Experience in a waste industry
  • Shorthand
