Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Berkeley, Gloucestershire. This flexible role offers the opportunity for full-time or part-time hours, with weekday shifts from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The role can be focused on consultations only, or a mix of consultations and operations, depending on your preference. No out-of-hours or weekend work is required, making this position ideal for those seeking a great work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct consultations, providing thorough examinations, diagnosis, and treatment plans for a wide variety of cases.
• Option to perform surgeries and other medical procedures as required, depending on preference.
• Provide excellent communication with clients, delivering advice on treatment plans, post-operative care, and general pet care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine with current registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
• Strong experience in small animal consultations and/or surgery, depending on your chosen focus.
• Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
