The Role…
Made Club is Hearst's membership club dedicated to crafting and being creative. As Junior Writer, you'll be an integral part of the Made Club team: writing content for the website and newsletter, running the social media channels, assisting running member events and talking directly to members.
Engaging with our members is a huge part of Made Club, so as Junior Writer you will be responsible for managing communications on email and via social media with existing and prospective members.
Main Duties…
- Pitch content, events, and engagement ideas to the Membership Director.
- Upload content to the Made Club CMS for review and track performance of site and newsletter content.
- Write and build the weekly Made Club newsletter.
- Manage communication with Made Club members via email and social media, including running the Made Club social accounts and creating engaging content.
- Oversee day-to-day management of the creator/influencer programme, partnering with creators to enhance the membership proposition.
- Assist with - and occasionally run - online and in-person Made Club member events.
- Support the delivery of brand partnerships, member-exclusive rewards and competitions, and provide additional membership support across the Women's Lifestyle portfolio as required.
- Collaborate with the Membership Director, Women's Lifestyle Portfolio & Partnerships Manager, and acquisition, marketing and customer value teams to ensure clear and consistent communication with potential and existing members.
- Engage directly with members, helping with queries, issues, and their craft projects.
- Act as an ambassador of Hearst UK and uphold its values.
Undertake additional duties as reasonably required based on skills and experience.
What We Are Looking For…
- Strong writing ability and engaging tone
- Interest in creativity and craft
- Photoshop and CMS experience is desirable
- Experience with shooting and editing social-first video is desirable
- Meticulous and organised with exceptional time management skills
- Excellent inter-personal skills and confidence communicating with multiple stakeholders
- Relationships with relevant PRs is desirable
- Ability to use and act upon own initiative
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work to a tight deadline and deal with challenges calmly and efficiently
