Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker / Care Worker to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with their daily needs, promote independence, and provide person-centred care to ensure the highest quality of support and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting (where required)
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining good nutrition and hydration
  • Encourage and support service users to participate in social, recreational, and community activities
  • Promote independence, dignity, and respect in all aspects of care
  • Monitor and report changes in the physical, emotional, or social well-being of individuals to the senior team
  • Assist with light household tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
  • Follow care plans and ensure accurate record-keeping in line with policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care or support role - required
  • PVG and SSSC - required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, or night shifts if required
  • Willingness to undertake mandatory training and continuous professional development
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety and safeguarding practices
  • Mandatory Trainings – required
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – required

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working in residential care, supported living, or community settings
  • Knowledge of infection control, moving and handling, and first aid procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.10-£12.50 per hour
