Yard Operative

Introduction:

Ingleford Scaffolding Ltd has an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as a Yard Operative. This role supports the day-to-day operations of our busy yard, ensuring scaffold materials are safely organised, maintained, and prepared for delivery to sites across the North East.

About the Role:

The successful candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate a combination of qualities including:

  • Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or labouring environment (preferred)
  • Ability to carry out manual handling tasks safely
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A reliable, punctual, and positive approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the role will include all aspects of yard operations, including:

  • Loading and unloading scaffold materials
  • Sorting, checking, and maintaining stock levels
  • Ensuring all equipment is stored safely and correctly
  • Preparing materials for site delivery
  • Keeping the yard clean, safe, and well organised
  • Assisting drivers, scaffolders, and management as required
  • Following all company health and safety procedures
