About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Head of Tax
to lead and oversee all tax activities across one of our clients. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring full compliance with tax legislation, optimising the company's tax position, and providing expert guidance to senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping tax strategy and supporting the business through periods of growth and change, within a growing and fast paced environment .

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the company's tax strategy.
  • Manage all aspects of corporate tax, indirect tax, and employment tax compliance.
  • Oversee tax reporting, forecasting, and risk management processes.
  • Provide strategic tax advice to the Executive Team and senior stakeholders.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and drive process improvements.
  • Manage relationships with HMRC, external advisors, and auditors.
  • Lead and develop the internal tax team, ensuring high standards of technical expertise and performance.
  • Support business initiatives, acquisitions, and restructures from a tax perspective.

About You

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Significant post-qualification experience in tax, ideally gained in both practice and industry.
  • Proven experience leading a tax function within a complex organisation.
  • Strong technical knowledge across multiple tax areas.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
