Full time (37hours per week), Term time only
We are looking to appoint a knowledgeable and multi-skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work on a 1:1 basis with a KS4 pupil. Experience in supporting children with ASD/ADHD is essential as is demonstrating being able to adapt curriculum work to meet the needs of the young person.
We are seeking someone who enjoys working in a fully inclusive school and shares the school's vision of making a real difference to the lives of our children through equality of opportunity, raising aspirations and inclusion for all. The successful candidate will have a high level of professionalism and commitment to children, parents and school.
Experience in supporting pupils across a range of curriculum subjects is preferable, as is experience of running interventions and managing communication with parents / carers and other professionals where required.
St Gregory's has once again been judged as a 'Good' school in our inspection of July 2024 with an Outstanding Catholic life judgement (Section 48).
Both reports can be viewed by clicking this link:
St. Gregory's is proud to be one of the highest performing schools in both Warrington and the Liverpool Archdiocese area and as such we are oversubscribed with a waiting list to join our school community.
Our Ofsted report noted "Pupils at St Gregory's are happy, confident and welcoming to visitors. They like each other. There is a strong sense of community across the school. This reflects the school vision, 'One family inspired to learn'. One pupil said: 'We are cared about as individuals but, because everyone cares, that makes us all one."
The successful candidate will join a passionate and successful SEND and pastoral team to work with and supervise individuals and groups of children under the direction/instruction of teaching &/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs and enabling access to learning for all pupils.
You will provide assistance and support in classroom management, behaviour techniques and provide specialist support in a specific curricular/resource area depending on your areas of experience.
