Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality within our business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hotel/accommodation operations and a passion for delivering exceptional service. As the Head Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Train, mentor, and support housekeeping staff in best practices for cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and customer service.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained at all times.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any guest concerns or special requests promptly.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Handle any guest complaints or issues related to cleanliness with professionalism and a focus on resolution.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a housekeeping role within a hotel or hospitality setting is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring that all areas meet cleanliness standards consistently.
  • Prior janitorial experience is advantageous, along with knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and guests alike.
