We are Optima Care. We support people with severe and enduring mental health conditions and intellectual disabilities with complex needs and we are looking for Deputy Manager for our residential home in Eastry (Kent).

Eastry House is a Residential home, it is here that our dedicated team provide support to adults with learning disabilities and complex sensory and behavioural needs.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall management of the home, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained for all residents.

Our mission is to support these individuals, guiding them on a journey towards independent living.

Duties will include:

  • Leading a team of support staff to ensure the people we support, lead an independent and fulfilling life
  • Managing employees, delivering supervisions, appraisals, rota management and time sheets
  • Provide guidance and training to employees where necessary
  • Work to ensure Optima Care meet CQC and statutory requirements
  • Responsible for reviewing/writing care plans, risk assessments, health and safety maintenance and COSHH sheets.
  • Assist with staff recruitment and selection as required for the service

Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a care home setting is essential.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing care plans that meet individual resident needs.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with residents, families, and staff.
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices within a residential care environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a person-centred approach to care delivery.
