The Job Summary
Wrightbus is a fast-moving company with considerable growth over the last year. We are seeking a customer-focused Sales Operations Manager with managerial experience to join our commercial team, taking a proactive role in managing and coordinating the technical sales team to meet internal and external customer demands.

The Sales Operations Manager will lead the coordination of the technical sales team, ensuring responsiveness and accuracy that drive service improvements for customers and the organisation.

The Role
Technical Sales

  • Lead the team and coordinate with Sales, Finance, Production, and Delivery to ensure efficient customer vehicle despatch, invoicing, and acceptance.
  • Co-ordinating customer visits for handover/acceptance of vehicles and feedback to quality team
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of Wrightbus core products and processes

Co-ordinate weekly reports

  • Manage and control the Customer Variation Order Process and the timely processing, control and approval between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting with resolution of queries from suppliers and internal team to support the development of specifications
  • Managing and co-ordination of the technical sales team to ensure timely processing of specifications and delivery progress communication and any other customer queries
  • To manage team responsiveness to customer enquiries and sales team requests from customers.

Continuous Improvement

  • Communicate with customers to understand priorities, drive improvements, and support leadership in streamlining sales processes and systems.
  • Undertake any other duties conducive with the effective operation of the post.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a contracts administration team.
  • Assist the Commercial Director and senior team in defining and implementing best practice to improve and streamline the sales administration process and look at best system approach.
  • Undertake any other duties conducive with the effective operation of the post

Customer Interaction

  • Co-ordinate and lead customer meetings to agree specification
  • Working with the customer to co-ordinate vehicle signoffs and weekly reporting to management of upcoming visits

Requirement

  • Third level qualification in Sales, Marketing or Business Management or a related discipline (or equivalent) with 6 months management experience OR At least 5 years' experience working in a manufacturing, sales/procurement management role
  • Leading and supporting teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experiencing in managing teams
  • Experience in leading internal and external meetings
  • Proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in working with suppliers and customers
  • Demonstrate relevant product knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical and commercial approach to business decision making.
  • Experience within similar industry
