An established and highly respected accountancy firm in the local area has retained EA First to help recruit a Partner in Audit and Accounts. This is a rare opportunity for a confident and ambitious professional to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio and play a key role in shaping the future of the firm.

The Role

As a Partner, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality audit and accounts services, while contributing to the growth and strategic direction of the firm. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a varied portfolio of audit and accounts clients, ensuring exceptional service and timely delivery.
  • Taking responsibility for billing, engagement oversight, and monitoring client performance.
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with long-standing clients.
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff while collaborating with fellow partners and directors.
  • Supporting business development initiatives, including client referrals and portfolio growth.
  • Contributing to the firm's strategic planning and ongoing success.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a partner who is professional, personable, and ready to make a significant impact. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally with experience as a Responsible Individual (RI) or working towards this.
  • Have experience managing audit and accounts portfolios, preferably in a small to mid-sized firm.
  • Be confident in leading and inspiring teams while working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Possess strong client relationship skills and a track record of growing long-term connections.
  • Be proactive, commercially aware, and eager to contribute to the development of the firm.
