Pippa's House, Guildford, currently has an exciting opportunity for a qualified room leader to be part of a vibrant, expanding team as the setting continues to grow. Here in Guildford we are very close to the town centre which has good train lines as well as a number of busses. We are a relatively small 75 place nursery with 4 rooms ranging from 3 months to 4 years. Our close knit team work exceptionally well together, inspiring and supporting each other in our day to day practice and we believe in appreciating and praising a job well done, no matter how small.

Essentials:

Level 3 minimum

SENDCO experience

Pre-school experience

Preferred:

QTS or EYTS

Room leader experience

This role also has the opportunity for progression into a 3rd in charge position.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children

To engage in play, learning activities and the personal care of children.

To plan and implement exciting learning opportunities for the children, and leading your team to do the same

To maintain a productive and stimulating environment within the nursery

To work as a team to observe and identify what the children in your care need to do next on their developmental journey

To interact in a professional and positive manner with other staff and parents

To share responsibility for the welfare of all children in your designated room, following systems to ensure consistent, high-quality care

To work alongside the management team in running your room and delegating any tasks given to you for your team
