Duties

  • Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients as directed by the chefs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans promptly.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored correctly after use.
  • Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote sustainability within the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Basic culinary skills or knowledge of food preparation techniques would be advantageous.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
