Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing the administrative tasks essential to the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. This role requires a genuine love for animals and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and veterinary staff alike.

Hours

Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday

Plus (Paid extra to salary) 1 in 7 weekends Saturdays and Sundays 10-12.

Duties

  • Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
  • Handle incoming calls, responding to inquiries and providing information about services offered.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
  • Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
  • Assist veterinary staff with laboratory tasks as needed, including sample collection and processing.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Promote a positive experience for clients by addressing concerns and providing support during visits.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting is highly desirable, as it equips candidates with the necessary knowledge of animal care and client interactions.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing records and scheduling efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to interact positively with clients, colleagues, and pets.
