Job Title: Senior Costs Draftsman

Location: Bolton (Hybrid / Remote (2 days in the office a month - options available)

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 DOE

About the Role:

This firm is looking to appoint a Senior Costs Draftsman to play a central role in their

expanding Costs Department. You'll be joining a lean and focused team where your

experience will be immediately valued and relied upon to tackle high-volume HDR bill

drafting.

If you're someone who enjoys autonomy, is confident in managing a varied caseload, and

wants the freedom to work flexibly without compromising on progression, this is the ideal

next step.

Key Responsibilities:

 Draft Bills of Costs, budgets, and N260s across Housing Disrepair claims

 Work collaboratively with fee earners and other departments to manage timelines

and expectations

 Provide mentoring to junior members and support process consistency

 Proactively identify opportunities to improve costs recovery

 Maintain accurate records and use the Proclaim system to manage

documentation and workflows

What We're Looking For:

 4+ years' experience in legal costs drafting (HDR experience highly desirable)

 Strong technical skills with the ability to hit the ground running

 Proficient in using Proclaim or similar CMS platforms

 Excellent written communication and attention to detail

 Desire to work flexibly with the ability to manage output independently
