About Us

Idea Store Learning is part of the Adult Community Learning team in Tower Hamlets. We offer a wide range of creative, ambitious, and affordable courses designed to help residents reach their full potential. Our Fitness and Wellbeing programme is one of our most popular areas, and we are now looking to expand our team with a passionate and experienced Yoga Tutor.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Yoga Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching and learning to adult learners. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging yoga sessions that support learners' physical and mental wellbeing.

Classes are delivered during term time and may be scheduled during the day, evenings, or weekends, depending on availability and demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality yoga instruction to adult learners.
• Plan and prepare lessons, schemes of work, and learning materials.
• Complete course documentation including individual learning plans, learner reviews, and assessment records.
• Ensure teaching meets the standards of OFSTED and responds to the needs of local residents.
• Work collaboratively with management and fellow tutors to promote adult learning in the borough.

About You

• Extensive subject knowledge and experience in teaching yoga.
• A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• Commitment to inclusive, learner-centred education.
• Ability to support learners of varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Additional Information

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Location: Whitechapel Idea Store or Shadwell Centre

Contract Type: Term Time Only / Sessional

Salary (including London weighting):

• Unqualified (Scale 1–3): £29.70 – £32.31 per hour
• Qualified (Scale 4–6): £33.62 – £36.23 per hour
