Reconciliations Remediation Analyst
Across every part of our business, teams are embracing new opportunities and putting customers at the heart of everything they do. Whether you're already part of DL or thinking about joining us, you'll have the chance not only to be recognised for your skills, but also to build on them and be empowered to do your very best.
What You'll Be Doing
Playing a key role in the remediation of complex balance sheet reconciliations, you'll work to improve quality, efficiency, and control so that reconciliations meet agreed standards. You'll analyse data flows, identify root causes, and design sustainable solutions that strengthen financial processes and reduce risk.
- Take ownership of remediation for an allocation of complex balance sheet reconciliations to agreed criteria.
- Analyse high volumes of data to identify issues and propose pragmatic, sustainable solutions.
- Work with onshore and offshore teams to understand current processes and implement improvements.
- Design reconciliation approaches that deliver clarity, efficiency, and control while highlighting risk.
- Document new processes clearly and succinctly for stakeholders.
- Monitor progress against targets and escalate issues where necessary.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance and other departments to agree deliverables and implement changes.
- Challenge existing processes to remove inefficiencies while maintaining strong controls.
- Ensure compliance with ORCM and FRCF frameworks and maintain robust auditability.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and foster strong working relationships across disciplines.
What You'll Need
We're looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant with strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving:
- Solid accounting knowledge with experience in complex finance systems and processes, including double-entry principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced Excel capability (PowerPoint and Oracle experience advantageous).
- Ability to manage projects and processes, designing and implementing improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, able to work collaboratively across teams.
- Strong risk and control focus, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
Benefits
We recognise we wouldn't be where we are today without our colleagues, that's why we offer excellent benefits designed to suit your lifestyle:
- 9% employer contributed pension
- 50% off home, motor and pet insurance plus free Green Flag breakdown cover
- Additional optional Health and Dental insurance
- EV car scheme
- Generous holidays
- Buy as you earn share scheme
- Employee discounts and cashback
- Plus, many more
We want everyone to get the most out of their time at DLG. Which is why we've looked beyond the financial rewards and created an offer that takes your whole life into account. Supporting our people to work at their best – whatever that looks like — and offering real choice, flexibility, and a greater work-life balance that means our people have time to focus on the things that matter most to them. Our benefits are about more than just the money you earn. They're about recognising who you are and the life you live.
