Data Migration Developer

We are recruiting for a Data Migration Developer to join a large, well-respected organisation for a 2-year Fixed Term Contract. You will support the Data Migration Lead and the wider team to support in moving data from legacy on-premises systems to a composable cloud-based architecture.
This role requires with experience migrating data and developing technical solutions for a new ERP system.
Your role
We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Data Migration Specialist to support the delivery of complex data transformation projects. This role involves developing and testing migration scripts and logic, primarily using SQL, to facilitate the accurate and efficient movement of data across systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing data cleansing and validation rules within migration workflows to uphold data integrity throughout the process. They will contribute to data mapping activities by translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring alignment between source and target environments.
Key responsibilities include supporting all data loading cycles by investigating and resolving defects, proactively identifying and escalating technical risks and dependencies, and providing input into delivery and cutover planning. The role requires close collaboration with technical colleagues such as Data Architects, Engineers, and Analysts to ensure seamless execution.
All development work must comply with established governance policies and standards. The candidate will also help expand the team's library of reusable migration patterns and best practices, promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
What the company look for
