About Brightside Travel LTD

Brightside Travel LTD is a fast-growing Destination Management Company (DMC) based in Edinburgh, specialising in tailor-made travel experiences across Scotland, England, Ireland, and Wales. We design immersive, responsible, and authentic journeys for international clients—both individual travellers and groups—seeking to discover the best of the UK and Ireland.

Your Mission

As a Travel Sales & Customer Advisor Intern
, you will join a small, dynamic, and passionate team dedicated to creating unforgettable travel experiences. Your main mission will be to advise and guide clients in designing tailor-made trips that perfectly meet their expectations—combining commercial awareness with a genuine sense of service and attention to detail. You will support the team in strengthening Brightside Travel's reputation for high-quality, personalised travel planning.

Your Responsibilities

• Advise customers and create tailor-made trips that meet their expectations and budget.

• Provide travellers with expert guidance regarding destinations, cultures, traditions, and activities.

• Prepare travel offers, presentations, and quotations in both English and French.

• Manage all practical aspects of the trip: matching travellers' requirements with transportation, accommodation, insurance, tours, and activities.

• Handle booking management for hotels, transport, and activities.

• Bill travellers and ensure all payments and confirmations are properly managed.

• Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the trip, acting as the local point of contact for travellers.

• Perform quality monitoring during the trip and manage travel issues, complaints, cancellations, and refunds with professionalism and empathy.

• Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.

• Maintain and develop relationships with local partners and suppliers across the UK & Ireland.

• Contribute to the promotion of travel offers in collaboration with the marketing team (social media, newsletters, etc.).

Your Profile

• Student in Sales, Business, or Tourism Management.

• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you enjoy listening, understanding, and advising clients.

• Strong interest in the commercial side of tourism: helping clients make informed choices and turning their ideas into reality.

• Well-organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

• Genuine curiosity for travel, culture, and responsible tourism.

• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom (Scotland).

What We Offer

• A meaningful professional experience in a growing international company.

• Hands-on involvement in the sales and client advisory process, from first contact to confirmation.

• A hybrid working model: 2–3 days per week in our Edinburgh office, 2 days remote.

• The opportunity to develop practical skills in tailor-made travel planning and client relations.

• Potential full-time employment at the end of the internship.

If you are passionate about travel and motivated by the idea of advising clients and creating unique, meaningful journeys, Brightside Travel LTD is the perfect place for you
