Joining Engineering means stepping into a role at the heart of Heathrow's operation. We're looking for a skilled and safety-focused Specialist Systems technician to help deliver high-quality maintenance and engineering services across our airport facilities.
You'll play a vital role in ensuring our Specialist Systems are reliable, efficient and compliant, keeping passengers and operations flowing smoothly. It's a fast-paced, rewarding environment where every task challenges your skills and gives you the opportunity to make a real impact.

Salary: £44,765 plus shift allowance. Shift pattern 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off.
- Enabling Heathrow's passengers to experience the best airport service in the world, through maintaining a broad range of specialist equipment such as cabin baggage screening equipment, CCTV, access control and our Heart Control System.
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on assets.
- Investigating faulty or poor-performing assets, identifying improvements and implementing meaningful change to improve the airport experience.
- Keeping records up to date, for example, the maintenance history of our assets, to create efficiency and meet Heathrow's regulatory requirements.
- Showcasing your passion for 'doing the right thing', by proactively spotting hazards, reducing risks, and creating a safer environment for all.
Champion continuous improvement and best practice.
City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline. Please note a degree would not be equivalent to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3.
- Full UK driving licence including the ability to obtain and maintain airside licences and permits.
- To have resided in the UK for at least 3 years to pass CTC checks.
- Strong hands-on experience, gained within an engineering environment.
- Analytical thinking and sound problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise in a complex and fast-paced setting.
