Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the Year 4/KS2 curriculum
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to support different learning styles and abilities
  • Track, assess, and record pupil progress, ensuring all learners receive appropriate support and challenge
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on pupil progress
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and whole-school initiatives
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including potential involvement in extracurricular activities or events

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Previous experience teaching within KS2 (Year 4 experience essential)
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
  • A proactive, reflective, and organised approach to teaching
  • Right to Work in the UK – the school cannot offer sponsorship
