About The Role
National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) is at the heart of energy in the UK. The electricity we provide gets the nation to work, powers schools and brings energy to life. Our energy network connects the nation, so it's essential that it's continually evolving, advancing, and improving.

As Data Analyst, you'll be part of our Infrastructure Delivery team, reporting on and monitoring the quality of project performance data, quality reporting and leading on improvement activities for clear project status.

You'll build reports and dashboards to meet reporting requirements, ensuring the integrity of project performance data by making sure adequate governance and controls are in place for the data required.

You'll lead the timely delivery of the reporting calendar, ensuring it meets the ongoing needs of the business area, working with other business teams to improve the integrity of the source data.

Developing and delivering reporting tools and models for day-to-day management of the data, you'll ensure the data is managed to be compliant with National Grid Data Management standards, principles and guidelines.

In addition, you'll support the Regional Performance Manager with compiling the future workbook analysis, workforce planning and quantifying risk.

This is a job for someone who has strong data skills and enjoys using their analytical skills to provide compelling reports.

We're flexible on where you're based but there will be a need to travel to our Leeds office on occasion for team meetings. This can be combined with hybrid working from home.

What You'll Need
With expert Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, you'll have experience of using Finance and Portfolio Manager systems. You'll be capable of building reports and dashboards in Power BI and have a good understanding of SAP and Primavera.

You'll have demonstrable experience of analysing complex data and data structures to provide value-adding solutions and outputs to meet business requirements and have experience and knowledge of structuring investments and data structures and flows associated with scheme investment information over the project life-cycle.

Confident, experienced and motivated, you apply great attention to detail and are methodical and patient in your work. You are highly organised, with good project and time management skills, with experience of communicating with multiple stakeholders both written and verbally.
