Our client, a prestigious five-star luxury hotel in the West of Ireland, has engaged us to identify an exceptional
Sales Director
to lead their high-performing commercial team. This is a rare opportunity to represent and promote one of Ireland's most beautiful properties, renowned for world-class service, refined elegance and an outstanding guest experience.

The Role

As Sales Director, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering the hotel's commercial strategy, driving revenue growth across all key segments, and elevating the property's profile on the national and international stage. You will lead a capable sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the hotel's vision and revenue goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team, providing clear direction and measurable targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with luxury travel partners, corporate clients, event organisers, and key market influencers.
  • Represent the property at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling sales materials, promotional campaigns, and brand-aligned messaging.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue, Marketing, Operations, and F&B to ensure a unified commercial approach.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to proactively adjust strategy.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance updates for senior leadership.

Essential Experience & Requirements

  • Proven background in luxury hospitality, ideally within a five-star or high-end hotel environment.
  • At least 5 years' senior experience in a sales leadership role.
  • Strong track record of managing and developing successful sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of luxury travel markets, corporate business development, and high-value client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
  • Ability to represent the property with confidence, professionalism, and exceptional brand alignment.
