London, Greater London, United Kingdom Talent Seed Full time

**This role requires relocation to Dubai**

About the Role

We're looking for a Head of Design who brings exceptional visual taste and a deep understanding of branding. You will define and own the full visual identity of the company logos, brand systems, typography, campaigns, creative assets, and ensure that this identity translates seamlessly into product UI across web, mobile, and all customer touchpoints.

In this role, you'll bridge two functions that traditionally operate separately: brand/marketing design and UI/Visual design. You will ensure both sides speak the same visual language, creating a cohesive and recognisable identity across PR, social media, marketing campaigns, in-product interfaces, emails, notifications, and customer support experiences.

The ideal candidate moves fast, works well under pressure, and brings both grit and design sophistication. You'll collaborate directly with founders and cross-functional teams, lead creative direction, and leverage AI tools to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and accelerate design output. While familiarity with user research and journey mapping is valuable, your strongest skill should be world-class visual craftsmanship and the ability to translate branding into polished product UI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the company's entire brand identity, including logos, colour systems, typography, and visual guidelines.
  • Lead creation of all marketing and PR creatives: social media assets, banners, ads, campaign visuals, landing pages, and promotional materials.
  • Oversee UI design for web and mobile products, ensuring brand consistency throughout the product experience.
  • Build and maintain a unified design system that supports both marketing and product teams.
  • Drive visual consistency across all touchpoints, applications, emails, notifications, onboarding flows, and support channels.
  • Collaborate closely with founders, product managers, engineers, PR teams, and social media teams to deliver cohesive design execution.
  • Integrate modern AI tools to enhance workflows, automate tasks, and significantly accelerate creative and UI output.
  • Review, critique, and refine design assets to maintain a high-quality bar and strong visual taste.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to internal designers or external creative partners.
  • Contribute to creative strategy and campaign direction across the company.
  • Use customer insights and research (when relevant) to inform design decisions and improve user experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading brand design, with a portfolio demonstrating strong visual judgment, taste, and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to translate brand identity into product UI for both web and mobile applications.
  • Experience working across marketing design and UI design (or managing teams in both areas).
  • Mastery of design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; comfort using AI design tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence decisions at both creative and product levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment with grit, ownership, and adaptability.
  • Strong understanding of colour theory, typography, layout, and modern UI/UX principles.
  • Experience building design systems is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design rationale clearly.

What Success Looks Like

  • A distinctive brand identity that is recognisable across every channel and interface.
  • A seamless visual connection between marketing creatives and in-product UI.
  • Faster, more efficient design output driven by smart use of AI tools and systems.
  • High-quality campaigns and product experiences that elevate the company's presence.
  • Strong cross-team alignment and a single, cohesive design vision across the entire organisation.
