Dependent on their Care Plan, duties may include:

  • All aspects of personal care
  • Administering medication
  • Housekeeping
  • Meal preparation

  • Driving clients to appointments or supporting in the community

Requirements of a Community Care Assistant:

  • Availability: Must be able to offer at least one week day morning, lunch, afternoon or evening and one weekend day part every other weekend.
  • Hours: 8am - 10am and 1pm - 3pm Monday - Friday with an opportunity of working more.
  • Driving Licence: Must hold a full UK or EU/EEA driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, or be willing to use a Right at Home e-bike.
  • Passion for Care: A genuine passion for helping others is essential.
  • Team Player: Must be a reliable team player with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate: Right at Home Derby will cover the cost of your DBS application.
  • Willingness to Learn: We provide a comprehensive and free Right at Home induction program that equips you with all the information and skills you need to begin a rewarding career in care.
  • Qualifications: The following are advantagious but not essential as full training is provided.

-Previous care experience

-Assisted living or nursing home experience

-Patient care skills, including Alzheimer's, hospice, and dementia care

-First aid certified

-Experience in meal preparation and medication administration
