Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including driver and other commercial lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations
  • Deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner, maintaining punctuality and professionalism
  • Assist with loading and unloading items, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or injury
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys to ensure safety standards are met
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
  • Support warehouse operations as required, including inventory management and organising stock

Skills

  • Proven delivery driver experience with a clean driving record
  • Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and best practices
  • Experience in warehouse environments, including heavy lifting and manual handling
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with clients and team members
  • Ability to operate various types of delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Organised with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Physically fit for heavy lifting tasks and extended periods of driving or standing
