Pre-School Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Location: 21A Commercial Street, Nelson, Caerphilly, CF46 6NF

Start Date: February 2026

Cylch Meithrin Nelson is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and caring Pre-School Assistant to join our friendly team on a maternity cover contract. We're looking for someone who loves working with young children and enjoys being part of a supportive, Welsh-speaking environment.

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in Welsh, or a Welsh learner with a high level of spoken Welsh.
  • Experience working in early years education.
  • A recognised Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years or Childcare.

Hours & Pay:

  • Salary: £12.21 per hour
  • Hours:
  • Monday, Tuesday & Friday: 9:00am – 12:45pm
  • Wednesday & Thursday: 9:00am – 3:30pm
  • Term time only
