Fixed Asset Accountant– Amanpulo

Role

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of the resort's fixed assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role involves tracking asset acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and conducting periodic audits to safeguard the resort's investments.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain detailed records of all fixed assets, including acquisition cost, location, and useful life.
  • Ensure timely capitalization of assets in accordance with accounting standards and company policy.
  • Calculate and post monthly depreciation entries.
  • Prepare fixed asset schedules and reconcile them with the general ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and internal controls.
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to fixed assets.
  • Conduct periodic physical verification of assets across resort facilities.
  • Investigate discrepancies and report findings to management.
  • Process asset disposals and transfers, ensuring proper documentation and accounting treatment.
  • Provide fixed asset data for capital expenditure planning and budgeting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification (preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting, preferably in hospitality or resort industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and local tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
