Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Leader to oversee daily operations and ensure a positive experience for both staff and children. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating activities, and maintaining a safe and engaging environment for all participants.

Duties

  • Supervise and support staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate daily activities and schedules for children, ensuring they are engaging and educational.
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff regarding children's progress and any concerns.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff in managing children's behaviour and needs.
  • Assist in the development of programmes that promote early childhood education.
  • Ensure all records are accurately maintained, including attendance and incident reports.

Skills

  • Proven management experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment.
  • Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children as needed.
