DevOps Engineer: Client in Brighton & Hove

Location: Brighton & Hove, UK

Salary Range: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

The Role:

As a DevOps Engineer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience, you will be instrumental in shaping the company's infrastructure and operational landscape. This role is on-site, with potential for flexible working arrangements, offering a unique opportunity to be part of a team that values direct collaboration and in-person dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, manage, and improve continuous delivery systems and methodologies on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments.
  • Work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems.
  • Help automate and streamline operations and processes.
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a DevOps role.
  • Strong experience in Linux/Unix Administration and scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Ruby.
  • Proficient with automation/configuration management using tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
  • Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS.
  • Knowledge of SQL/MySQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of best practices in an always-up, always-available service.
  • Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
