Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architect to join our dynamic design and construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in architectural design, project management, and construction processes. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including renovations, interior design, and new constructions, utilizing cutting-edge software and industry best practices. The Architect will collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet aesthetic, functional, and budgetary goals.

Duties

  • Develop comprehensive architectural designs using AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Prepare detailed construction documents, drafting plans, sections, elevations, and specifications.
  • Manage project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of design phases and construction milestones.
  • Conduct building code analysis and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
  • Perform construction estimating and budgeting to align project scope with client expectations.
  • Coordinate with clients during negotiations to refine project scope and resolve design or contractual issues.
  • Oversee construction management activities including site visits, quality control, and contractor coordination.
  • Engage in business development activities such as proposal writing and client presentations to expand the firm's portfolio.
  • Utilize NavisWorks for clash detection and coordination among different disciplines during the design process.
  • Draft interior design concepts and renovation plans that optimize space utilization and aesthetic appeal.
  • Prepare project schedules using project management tools to track progress from conception through completion.
  • Review contracts and ensure adherence to project scope, timelines, and budgets.

Experience

  • Proven experience in architecture or related fields with a portfolio demonstrating diverse projects including renovation, interior design, or new construction.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), NavisWorks, Bluebeam for documentation review.
  • Strong knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, contract negotiation, and construction management practices.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills in project scheduling and business development efforts.
  • Familiarity with building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory requirements across various jurisdictions. This role is ideal for a motivated architect eager to contribute innovative ideas within a collaborative environment while advancing their expertise across multiple facets of architecture and construction management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £48,000.00 per year
