Python Backend Engineer

Role Overview:

We're looking for skilled Python Backend Engineers to build scalable AI-driven backend services integrating LLMs, Azure, and Databricks environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Python backend services (FastAPI/Flask).
  • Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini) and agentic frameworks.
  • Connect to enterprise data sources (ADLS, Databricks, PostgreSQL).
  • Implement CI/CD, security, and performance best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional AI, data, and cloud teams.

Python Backend Engineer (Azure / Databricks / LLMs)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Python backend services (FastAPI/Flask).
  • Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini) and agentic frameworks.
  • Connect securely to enterprise data sources (ADLS, Databricks, PostgreSQL).
  • Develop reusable APIs and components to support scalable AI-driven workflows.
  • Implement testing, validation, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with AI engineers, data engineers, and cloud specialists.
  • Ensure compliance, security, and performance across environments.

Core Required Qualifications

  • Strong Python programming skills (FastAPI, Pandas, SQLAlchemy, asyncio).
  • Practical experience with LLM APIs and prompt-response integration.
  • Working knowledge of Azure cloud services (App Service, Functions, Key Vault).
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and automated testing concepts.
  • Strong debugging, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data systems (Databricks, ADLS, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or other agentic frameworks.
  • Exposure to pharma or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud deployments.
  • Experience in agile or cross-functional development environments.

  • Knowledge of data validation, transformation, and quality monitoring techniques.

DevOps / Cloud Focus

  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and environment promotion.
  • Familiarity with deploying Python apps and notebooks to Azure or Databricks.
  • Experience with CI/CD testing, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
