Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting patients with mental health conditions, assisting in their care plans, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills within a supportive setting, contributing positively to patient recovery and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to patients with mental health needs, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Monitor patient behaviour and report any significant changes to the clinical team promptly
- Assist in implementing individualised care plans under supervision, ensuring treatment goals are met
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare professionals, demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Support patients with daily activities, promoting independence where appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and progress in compliance with organisational policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care strategies, demonstrating leadership qualities when necessary
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all health and safety regulations within the clinical environment
Experience
- the candidates should have at least 3 years experience of working with mental health clients.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
- Basic IT literacy for maintaining accurate electronic records and documentation
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to support team members and manage challenging situations calmly
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to assist in their implementation is advantageous
