Salary: £50,000 + commission (OTE - £85,000-£90,000 year 1)

We're working with a specialist engineering and data centre solutions provider that's expanding rapidly across the UK and globally. Their award-winning teams deliver structured cabling, fibre, electrical services, and full data centre design and build projects. Due to continued success, they're now looking for an experienced Account Manager to help drive growth across their Enterprise Electrical Services division, based in Manchester.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Building and managing a sales pipeline for small works and project-based electrical services.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell across a broad range of engineering services.
  • Leading the account planning process and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Taking ownership of bids, tenders and proposals, ensuring accuracy and commercial viability.
  • Meeting revenue and margin targets while maintaining high client satisfaction.
  • Liaising closely with internal technical teams to align solutions with customer needs.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in a sales or account management role, ideally within the electrical or construction industry.
  • A background or qualification in electrical installation is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, from site-level operatives to boardroom stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and hit commercial targets consistently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Familiarity with consultant-led or contractor-led project environments.
  • Confidence in preparing and delivering professional proposals and client presentations.
