THE JOB...
We are looking for an experienced, self-driven and ambitious Sous Chef or ambitious CDP (30+ hours a week but more hours available at times, 5 days). You must be available to work evenings and weekends.
PAY...
Competitive Salary : £12.50-£14.50 per hour (depending on experience). Staff discount on all drinks and food all week (whether you are working or not).
THE STAND OFF...
The Stand Off is Exeter's most popular, sports themed bar & restaurant, owned by 2 Exeter Chiefs rugby legends, Gareth Steenson ('Steeno') and Carl Rimmer. However we are far more than a traditional sports bar. We pride ourselves in the quality of our food and FOH customer service. Think more like a quality golf club house serving homecooked classics and specials
Our menus offer a mix of British pub classics, Weekly Specials (that our chefs decide on) and our award winning Clubhouse Sunday Roast. We also own our takeaway brand Chick'a'Moo on Deliveroo. The Stand Off hosts various charity dinners and events throughout the year (2 / 3 courses) plus Christmas lunches, dinners and buffets, so our Chefs will decide our menus for these events.
Because we are a completely independent business, our chefs have lots of responsibility in our kitchen including rotas, food ordering, P&L and deciding on our menu/dishes/specials.
We are looking for a Sous Chef or an ambitious CDP that wants a new challenge, enjoys a busy venue and is passionate about locally sourced, freshly prepared and well presented food.
