Forklift / Plant Technician (Mobile Service Engineer)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Forklift / Plant Technician to join our team as a Mobile Service Engineer.

This role involves carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of Material Handling Equipment, both on-site and in the workshop.

This position would suit an Agricultural Engineer or Plant Mechanic looking to apply their skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of Material Handling Equipment
  • Diagnose faults and rectify defects efficiently
  • Perform periodic inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Prepare forklifts and equipment for sale or rental
  • Complete all service records in line with Health & Safety and Quality Standards
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to company standards

Requirements

  • Time-served engineer with a strong mechanical background
  • Proven experience with hydraulic and electrical systems on machinery
  • Experience carrying out Thorough Examinations on material handling equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive, flexible attitude and strong problem-solving skills
