Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 10-4 flex.

The Role

Almac Diagnostic Services is a personalised medicine company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialisation of diagnostic and companion diagnostic tests. The tests we develop are used in global clinical trials, and guide treatment decisions which ultimately improve patient care in a wide range of disease areas.

We are currently seeking Senior Laboratory Scientist with specific skills in single-cell RNAseq and/or spatial transcriptomicsto join our passionate, multifunctional team based in our high-tech laboratories at our company headquarters in Craigavon. Daily tasks will include performing molecular biology techniques, performing quality control on samples and method development to support growing client requirements in this field.

All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, or hold a valid visa/work permit that allows you to work in the UK on a full time permanent basis with no restrictions.

A bachelor's degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Biology, Molecular Biology or another related Life Sciences discipline is essential. Previous practical laboratory experience in method development and experience in single-cell RNAseq and/or spatial transcriptomics is essential.

Applicants will need excellent communication skills, along with the ability to manage timescales, organise a high-volume, varied workload and should demonstrate a high level of accuracy in all work undertaken.
