Teach South are excited to be supporting a highly regarded Alternative Provision in Poole with the recruitment of 2 SEN Teachers to join their dedicated team from February half term. These are full time, permanent roles offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact on learners with additional needs.
This nurturing provision caters for pupils with moderate to complex learning difficulties, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments and medical needs. The school is committed to ensuring every child receives an exceptional, personalised education that supports their wellbeing, independence, and academic progress.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Lead tailored learning for a small, diverse class of pupils with complex needs.
- Personalise all learning and therapeutic approaches to meet individual EHCP targets.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team including therapists and support staff.
- Create safe, creative, and engaging learning environments.
- Support pupils to achieve their potential socially, emotionally and academically.
About You:
To be successful, you will:
- Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent).
- Have experience of working with pupils with SEND – ideally complex needs.
- Be skilled at adapting learning and differentiating approaches for individual pupils.
- Be compassionate, resilient and child-centred in everything you do.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
