The Company

William Gilder Ltd has grown from modest provisions into a successful and sustainable provider of specialist waste transport and treatment services. We service and maintain our own fleet of around forty articulated tractor units and fifty vacuum tankers. In addition, we also offer maintenance and repair facilities to third party external clients.

The role

We are currently seeking a fully-qualified HGV mechanic to work 40 hours a week plus paid lunch breaks. Overtime available on alternate Saturday's.

You will be working in a team of highly skilled and experienced HGV mechanics on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles. The success applicant will be required to undertake the following duties:

· Six weekly vehicle inspections

· General servicing and pre-planned maintenance

· Reactive maintenance as required

· MOT preparation and presentation

· Correction of running defects

· To follow instruction and direction from the Workshop Foreman

· Carry out best and safe working practices
