Cyber Security Analyst - UK
Immersive is hiring Could you be our next Cyber Security Analyst?
We're looking for an experienced, proactive and value-driven individual to join our established Risk & Security team in the UK as a Cyber Security Analyst, focused around securing our internal estate and the Immersive One platform. As an advocate for operational excellence within Immersive, you will take ownership of our detection and response lifecycle triaging incidents, identifying root causes and providing technical expertise during incident management. You will also stress test our applications to ensure they comply with security standards.
Reporting directly to our VP of Risk & Security, you will collaborate with colleagues in the IT Operations, Engineering and Product teams to secure our internal estate, our Immersive One platform and supporting infrastructure.
Your technical knowledge is important, but your ability to learn is even more important. Our teams utilise the latest technologies in the development and delivery of our product and incorporate those technologies in the Immersive One platform for our customers to enjoy.
Our most successful cyber team members here are pro-active, collaborative and bring analytical rigor to their work, while constantly expanding their knowledge through cross-team collaboration. Your ability to work across teams is important as the security team is small, therefore good stakeholder management is essential to success here.
We are a data driven organisation and data is essential to decision making. You will be an important part of decision making and so understanding the data is key to being successful in this role.
As a individual contributor in the team, your main responsibilities will include:
Operate and optimise a wide range of security platforms, including our SIEM, EDR, IAM, DLP and vulnerability management programme.
Document SOPs for dealing with security incident identification and response.
Horizon scan for threats to our tech stack and suggest mitigation activity.
Work closely with IT Operations and Security GRC to build and maintain clear actionable dashboards and reports for governance and risks leadership forums.
Manage our bug bounty programme, including analysing the tickets and tracking remediation.
Build a programme to prove and improve cyber readiness at Immersive, utilising the Immersive One platform.
Coordinate and conduct security audits of new features in the product road map and deliver two internal penetration tests a year on the Immersive One platform.
Take ownership of our security estate - you will work with IT Operations to secure our end user estate and corporate assets. We're a Google house, so an understanding of Google security controls is important.
Management of vulnerability scans of our internal infrastructure (invicti) and preparing reports for our customers.
Sounds good? We'd love to hear from you if you have proven experience in the following areas, but don't worry if you don't hit each one exactly:
A number of years of professional experience within a hands on technical cyber security role - the ideal candidate would of begun their career within a SOC environment and then advanced into penetration testing
Experience in working with a SIEM platform or within a Security Operations environment
Background in carrying out both vulnerability scans and penetration tests of web applications and infrastructure
Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills - you will deal with C-Level and Director-level stakeholders, so consultative & confident communication is key to success
Proficiency in IT fundamentals (computer hardware/software, databases, networking, security, and software development)
Authoritative knowledge of information security concepts, domains, compliance, and standards
Hands-on experience with Windows & Linux operating systems, security tools (IDS, firewalls, anti-malware, SIEM), public cloud environments, etc
Immersive's growth has been fuelled by our values that underpin everything we do, here's how they relate to this role:
Driven - We push the boundaries of innovation, acting swiftly to achieve ambitious outcomes. Our drive embodies a culture of ambition, where challenges are stepping stones to excellence.

We encourage people of all different backgrounds and identities to apply. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive, supportive place for you to be you and do your very best work.
Excited by the above? We're ready to receive your application
As well as an inclusive, supportive place for you to be you. We offer an extensive range of benefits so you can do your very best work:
