Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and light food items. Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Assist customers with their orders in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and surfaces in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Restock supplies as needed, including coffee beans, cups, lids, and other ingredients or materials.
  • Follow food safety procedures diligently to ensure hygiene standards are met.
  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or pastries when required.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
  • Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
  • Basic skills in food preparation and handling light snacks or ingredients are desirable.
  • Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. This position offers an engaging work environment where your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will be valued.
