Job Description

  • Lead the
    design and engineering of electrical systems
    for diverse applications, including grid-scale installations, commercial and industrial facilities, and renewable energy assets.
  • Conduct
    feasibility studies, technical assessments, and independent specialist reviews
    , ensuring technical excellence throughout all project stages.
  • Collaborate with
    multidisciplinary teams
    —including engineers, project managers, and technicians—to ensure smooth integration of new systems into existing infrastructure.
  • Perform
    system modelling, simulation, and optimisation
    to maximise energy efficiency and performance of power generation and storage systems.
  • Develop and implement
    robust control and protection strategies
    , ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support
    project development and delivery
    , including site assessments, data analysis, and preparation of technical documentation, proposals, and client reports.

The ideal
Senior Electrical Project Engineer
will demonstrate:

  • A
    Bachelor's or Master's degree
    in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Professional registration
    (e.g., Chartered Engineer status) or a clear pathway towards achieving it.
  • Proven experience in the
    design and implementation of power generation or renewable energy systems
    .
  • Working knowledge of
    process control
    and
    SCADA systems
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    grid connection and integration requirements
    ,
    power system dynamics
    , and
    industry standards
    (e.g. IEC, ENA, BS7671).
