Senior Manager, Independent Model Validation and Model Risk Governance

Midlands based, hybrid working

Salary: Competitive

We are supporting a UK financial services group building a forward looking, robust model risk function. They are hiring a Senior Manager to help shape the IMV framework and steer a high impact programme across IRB, IFRS 9 and new Model Risk Management standards.

This is ideal for someone currently operating as a Lead or Manager who wants more ownership, visibility and real influence.

What you will do

  • Lead independent validation across methodology, data, monitoring and implementation,
  • Own and enhance key elements of the IMV framework and standards,
  • Partner with developers and model owners to embed best practice,
  • Prepare concise reports for senior committees,
  • Support development of junior team members.

What you will bring

  • Strong quantitative background with hands-on model development or validation,
  • Knowledge across IRB, IFRS 9 and model risk management principles,
  • Confident coder able to test, replicate and challenge models,
  • Clear communicator, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders,
  • UK right to work.
