We are looking to recruit an MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) to join our friendly Bodyshop team in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
Fix Auto Repair is part of Smiths Motor Group, a family-owned and run business for over 85 years with an enviable reputation for customer service.
Key Duties
- Remove and refit mechanical and electrical trims, panels, and components on vehicles and vans
- Ensure that stripping and rebuilding work of all vehicles is carried out professionally and correctly, and that final quality checks are undertaken in line with applicable standards
- Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel area
- Ordering supplementary parts
- Follow manufacturer or repair methods to return vehicles to pre-accident condition
- Perform road testing (if applicable)
- Ensure that all jobs are completed within the estimated times
- Pre and post-scans on vehicles
- Awareness and adherence to all necessary standards and health and safety procedures.
Salary, Benefits, and Working Hours
The salary for this role is between £35,000 - £40,000 per year, depending on experience.
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30.
In addition to your salary, you will also benefit from:

Who We're Looking For
- ATA qualified or equivalent
- A minimum of one years' experience within a similar role is desirable
- A minimum of two years' experience in the industry is desirable.
