Grundisburgh Primary School is a welcoming 1-form entry primary school nestled in the charming village of Grundisburgh, conveniently located between Woodbridge and Ipswich. About the role

We are seeking a kind and welcoming Class Teacher to lead a Year 1 class and take on the exciting responsibility of leading a subject area within the school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and motivated teacher looking to join a supportive and forward-thinking team in a school rated 'Good' by Ofsted

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons tailored to Year 1 pupils.
  • Lead and develop a subject area, contributing to curriculum enhancement.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages learning and good behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and contribute positively to the school community.
  • Promote the safety, wellbeing, and development of all pupils.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1
  • Demonstrable ability to lead a subject area within a primary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills with a focus on kindness and inclusivity.
