The opportunity

We have opportunities for bright and enthusiastic full or part-time dispensers or trainee dispensers to join our pharmacy team at Holmwood Pharmacy, Tadley RG26 4ER

The role

Pharmacy dispensers work as part of a pharmacy team under the direction of a registered pharmacist. The role includes:

  • Taking in and handing out prescriptions
  • Dispensing prescriptions
  • Using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels
  • Ordering items
  • Selling over-the-counter medicines
  • Answering customers questions face to face or by phone
  • Preparing packing, and labelling medicines
  • Referring problems or queries to the pharmacist

Requirements

  • You will have excellent customer service skills and be adept at sorting out queries over the phone and in person
  • You will be keen to learn and able to multi-task
  • You will have, or be willing to work towards, Dispenser (NVQ level 2). Training is on the job and online
  • You will be competent at, or willing to learn about, ordering and checking of received goods
  • You will be competent at, or willing to learn about, communicating with patients regarding prescriptions and over the counter queries

Hours

Full time - Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm with an hour for lunch.

Salary

Qualified dispenser salary depends on experience and qualifications.

£8.60- £12.21 per hour for trainee.

Up to£13.50 for dispenser depending on experience

20% staff discount.
