About our client
Our client is a global investment team focused on executing investments through a hybrid strategy of primary and secondary private equity funds as well as co-investments. The team is headquartered in London, with additional presence in New York and Brussels. The portfolio consists of investments across Asia, EMEA, the Americas and Africa in recent years. They operate with a generalist sector focus, giving flexibility to their strategy and variance to their roles.
What the job involves
They are looking for an Investment Analyst to join them as part of their continued growth in London. The perfect fit is a junior investment professional with a proactive approach and the ability to work in an entrepreneurial, all-hands-on-deck kind of environment.
- Complete analysis of private equity funds including market positioning, strategy, performance, teams, and strategic fit
- Deliver analysis on fund portfolio company financial performance and exit expectations
- Complete analysis of political and social dynamics including regulation, government and consumer habits in order to identify risks and/or opportunities related to specific geographies and/or sectors
- Gain understanding of broad and narrow sectors and dynamics within specified markets and identify size and growth rate, as well as emerging niches within these sectors
Who we are looking for
- Experience from investment banking, private equity, pension fund or family office
- Financial modelling experience and ability to assess underlying risks to investments
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Knowledge of Private Equity concepts such as fund structures and return calculations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluent oral and written English, second language preferable
