Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator who is looking for a new challenge as a Room Leader to our Pre-Schooler children, to join our team. We have a group of up to 16 pre-school children in their own brand new purpose built classroom within our nursery that you would be responsible for. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and developing the potential of young children in a safe and stimulating environment. You will be responsible for creating engaging learning experiences that promote children's emotional, social, and cognitive development preparing them for their transition to school. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a genuine love for working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational opportunities that cater to the diverse needs of children, taking their individual interests and making each day magical
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity with endless opportunity to express themselves
  • Manage daily activities while ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships- a holistic approach.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their development.
  • Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational programme.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery space that promotes learning and gives the children a home from home environment.
  • Drive initiatives that support children's individual needs and interests.
  • Communicate and collaborate with local schools ahead of transitions taking place
  • Support parents through the transitional phase of their child moving from nursery to school.
  • Attend local workshops/events to ensure joint up working with schools

Skills

  • 2 years experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to support other members of the team
  • Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with children and families.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices, specifically with children aged 2-4 years old.
  • Ability to manage the dynamics of little ones who need our guiding hands while promoting positive behaviour.
  • A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth in a nursery environment, celebrating all the big and small achievements
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching methods based on children's varying needs and learning styles.
  • Make every day a magical and fun day for the children in our care
  • Don't be scared to get your wellies and overalls on for walks in the local woods and park, your gloves and apron on to support our children to feed their pet chickens and collect their eggs to take home and be ready to sing and dance because our children love music, especially our music lady

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,000.00-£27,040.00 per year
