Rhino Asphalt Solutions are a well-established Highways Maintenance Contractor delivering both local and national projects. We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Highway Maintenance Foreman to join our team based out of our Alsager depot. This role is suited to a hands-on leader who can manage teams effectively on-site, ensure compliance with company and industry standards, and maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead site teams to deliver highway maintenance works safely, efficiently, and to the required technical standards.
- Ensure daily work briefings, toolbox talks, and safety checks are completed and recorded in line with company procedures.
- Maintain high technical and operational standards, monitoring performance and quality of works.
- Plan and allocate tasks to operatives and subcontractors, ensuring resources are used effectively.
- Take responsibility for site safety and ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Complete and review required paperwork and reports, including daily records, vehicle and plant checks, and drivers' hours.
- Liaise effectively with Rhino management, clients, and site representatives to ensure clear communication and issue resolution.
- Support the training and development of team members through on-the-job coaching and mentoring.
- Carry out hands-on operational duties where required to support team delivery and maintain productivity.
Requirements:
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) – essential.
- Proven experience in Highways Maintenance, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Full UK Driving Licence – HGV Class 2
- Relevant trade qualification such as NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Highway Maintenance or NRSWA accreditation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take ownership of site delivery.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Candidates must be willing to undertake any additional or refresher training as required.
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend or night work may be required depending on project needs.
