A very exciting opportunity is available for a Junior Product Development Engineer which is perfectly suited to a Graduate Engineer with a strong Degree in Civil, Structural or Materials Engineering.  

Our client is a well-established and innovative leader in manufacturing and engineering a diverse range of products and systems for the construction, automotive, acoustic, and audio markets. Due to their ongoing business expansion, they are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Product Development Engineer to join their dynamic team.  This is a really exciting opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company that values creativity, technical expertise, and collaboration.  

The Role
As a Junior Product Development Engineer, you will play a vital role in driving the development of new products and improving existing ones. This includes technical investigations, concept design, material selection, performance analysis, and testing. You will collaborate multiple disciplines and design teams within the business (SFS, Facade, Automotive) to bring innovative ideas to life and contribute to our Clients success.

Key Responsibilities

New product development to cover all business sectors. The development works include:

  1. Technical investigation on the market
  2. Concept design , material selection & prototype
  3. Performance analysis (strength, thermal & acoustics) by using theoretical, numerical method (FEM or other related software)
  4. Manufacturing route investigation (work with the plant engineering manager)
  5. Take responsibility of internal performance test
  6. Assistant to the third party product tests and technical assessment of product certification.

Create or assistant to maintain the technical document platform including:

  1. Product manufacturing drawing
  2. Product data sheet/Engineering data sheet
  3. Working with the engineering & general technical team for the new system technical documentation as the typical details, technical manual & installation manuals etc.
  • Work with the engineering team to develop the product performance calculation tools for the product performance (structural/thermal etc) design.
  • Technical support for others in the engineering team if required
  • Provide technical support to the engineering team as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree-qualified in structural, civil engineering or mechanical, material (or a related discipline).
  • Proficiency in software tools, including MS Office, AutoCAD, and Thermal/FEM software (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable but not essential and Fresh Graduates with a strong Degree in the above are highly encouraged to apply.
